I'm off to surgery today for the injury I obtained in the vehicle accident I was in back in February. The second MRI (with dye this time) indicated a TFCC tear (ligament tear on the ulnar side) and I also have De Quervain's Tenosynovitis which is on the thumb side. Both of these are a result of the impact as while my hands were gripping the steering wheel. So please pray with me for a complete recovery so that I may get back to my writing. Pattern for Romance is waiting to be finished! In the meanwhile, The Shadow Catcher's Daughter is still available in the link to your right at Signed by the Author and Colonial Courtships will be out in October and is available at online bookstores for pre-order.
Thank you for your support and your patience while I'm away. In the meanwhile, you may wish to visit the above interview links and stop by my website carlagade.com!

Peeking in...
Just peeking in. I've been rather busy dealing with my injured wrist and trying NOT to write. I'm working on my galleys (final edits) for Carving a Future, my novella in October's Colonial Courtships collection. My generous editor at Abingdon also gave me a new deadline for Pattern for Romance, much to my great relief. November 1st it is with a new release date of August 2013, only two months later than the original release date. Hoping I don't have to have surgery on my wrist this summer, but at this point I'll take anything to get it working and pain free.
Today you'll find me posting over at Colonial Quills. I will also be visiting with Elaine Stock at Everyone's Story later in the afternoon and there will be a book giveaway of The Shadow Catcher's Daughter. It's been lots of fun doing interviews and all these book giveaways. Come along and say hello and maybe you'll win a free autographed copy!
How are YOU doing, friends? Have a safe and fun week ahead celebrating our country's freedom!

A Historical Mother's Day

My Mom and I spent the day on Saturday celebrating an early Mother's Day. I was delighted to have Mom, who is my "first editor" (the one I send all my writing to first to do grammatical edits and a brief critique/content review), join me for the day doing some fun historical things!

The only thing that was missing was my two sons - one working today and the other in Spain on vacation. But it was a special day nonetheless doing some of my favorite things, enjoying time spent with Mom!
